Sunday School Teachers
Sunday school will be starting again in September. We are in need of three teachers for the various grade levels. If you are interested in teaching, please speak with Pastor Glowicki.

School Hot Lunch Servers
St John will be offering hot lunch to the students catered by Lancer Dining. If you would like to serve hot lunch please speak with Debbie Glowicki or leave your name at the church office.

Fun Fest
Invite your friends and family to Fun Fest on August 22. Weather permitting, bring your lawn chairs for the outdoor service at 9:30 a.m. Following worship, lunch will be provided followed by a pie auction, bingo and more. Please see the bulletin board for more details.

St John Sweatshirts
Navy or royal blue St John sweatshirt order forms are in the narthex. The sweatshirts can have the St John Lutheran or St John Wildcat transfer on them. The prices of the sweatshirts are located on the order forms. Please consider purchasing a sweatshirt to help support the athletic fund as well as advertising for the church and school.

Job Position Opening
There is a job position open for church administrative assistant. Please speak to the congregational vice president, Matt Rindal if interested. The job description is located in the narthex.

Aluminum Cans for our Athletic Fund
We are still collecting aluminum pop/beer cans for our Athletic Fund. You can bring the cans crushed or uncrushed to our garage doors.

New Reimbursement Policy
At the May Church Council meeting the following policy regarding the distribution of expenses was discussed and adopted. Anyone who incurs an expense for any event or function that is being held must submit a receipt(s) to the Treasurer if they are to be reimbursed regardless if there is a "free will" offering being taken to help cover the expenses of the event or function. The cost of the event or function is not to be taken from the "free will" offering. The money that is collected in the "free will" offering is to be deposited into the Church treasury and the receipts submitted to the Treasurer who will then reimburse for the expense(s). If you have any questions regarding this policy feel free to contact the Treasurer.

Mowing Schedule
There are a few more months of lawn mowing needed. The sign-up is in the narthex. Thank you. If you need to know how to get to the mowers or help with running them see Pastor Glowicki.

Meditations for 2011
There will be a price increase effective January, 2011; however, if we order before the end of August we can get Meditations at the old price. Please check your mailbox for your Meditations form to order for 2011. There are extra forms on the table in the narthex if you misplace your form. Please make your check payable to St. John Ev. Lutheran Church and place it and your form in the collection plate. Thank you.

Forward In Christ for 2011
There will be a price increase effective January, 2011; however, if we order before the end of August we can get Forward In Christ at the old price. Please check your mailbox for your Forward In Christ form to order for 2011. There are extra forms on the table in the narthex if you misplace your form. We need 25 subscriptions to get the bundle price. What a wonderful way to keep informed on things happening in our Wisconsin Synod. Also, you will find interesting articles for your reading pleasure. Part Time Position for a Cook/Kitchen Assistant
Hours: Thursday - Sunday, 1:00-7:30 pm. Qualifications: professional experience as a cook for groups of 50 or more, experience with cooking Asian foods, likes to work among high school students, ability to handle both food preparation and clean up, good communications skills, organized, reliable, and trustworthy.
