2011-2012 Supply Lists

Important Reminders

  • On Orientation Night, please use the entrance on the lower level. Teachers will be meeting with each family in the Fellowship Hall, downstairs of church.
  • We ask that the Academic Materials Fee of $95.00 ($35.00 for Kindergarten I) be paid in full at that time. This fee covers materials such as art supplies, science equipment, and paperback books that go directly into the hands of the pupils. On Orientation Night you will also be able to make arrangements for tuition payments. We ask that you pay the first month's tuition at the time of registration.
  • If there are families who have tuition payments due from the last school year, this amount should be paid prior to, or on, August 10. Our policy is that students are not permitted to register if there are outstanding bills from the previous year.
  • A sign-up sheet will be available for before and after school care. We will need to know the approximate time your children would be picked up after school.
  • It is our policy at St. John that students purchase the materials used for their Word of God classes. The fees for our Voyages Religion Curriculum will be available on Orientation Night. In addition to the Voyages workbooks, students will also need to purchase such things as Bibles, Hymnals, and Catechisms. We will be taking orders for these on August 10.
  • Parents of students in grades seven and eight will receive information from their pastors regarding the materials which will be used for study in the instruction classes.
  • There are several items that parents will need to purchase on Orientation Night. One is the Student Planner. This is a type of assignment book where teachers and parents will be able to make notes regarding assignments and completed homework. The price for this planner will be approximately $5.00, and these will be needed by all students in grades 1-6.
  • This year we are also asking that all families help in some way with the extra-curricular activities or with assisting the faculty. There are many opportunities for service, especially with our sports program, Grandparents' Day and other school activities. Sheets will be available at registration so that you may indicate your area of interest.
  • There is a $20 late fee for any family who is unable to come on Orientation Night and does not call the school office at (651) 771-6406 to make other arrangements.

If you are unable to come to register on August 10, please call the school office and make arrangements with Mrs. Ellen Mueller, our school secretary, for a convenient time for your registration.

It is important that the teachers know as soon as possible who the students are who will be in their classrooms. Please provide the following information if you need to call the office at (651) 771-6406:

  • Name of the children you wish to register.
  • Grade.
  • Will you be in need of before/after school care?

Thursday, August 18 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. has been set aside for parents to assist the faculty and staff in the cleaning of the classrooms and halls. We encourage at least one family member be present on August 18 to help with this large project. A sign-up sheet will be available when you meet with your child's teacher.
